Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
  central Pueblo County in southeast Colorado...
* until 330 am MDT
* at 1222 am MDT...local law enforcement officials reported moderate
  to locally heavy rainfall and flooding still occurring across the
  warned area.  Pueblo Doppler radar indicated up to 2 inches of 
  rain has fallen across central and southern parts of the city of 
  Pueblo since 9 PM this evening. Up to an additional inch of rain 
  will be possible through 330 am as more thunderstorms move into 
  the area. 
* Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to
  continue. Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Pueblo.
Pueblo police report standing water in several intersections in the 
central and southern portions of the city of Pueblo with stranded 
cars in flooded intersections.  
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams...urban areas...highways...streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. If flash flooding is observed act quickly. Do
not enter the water. Turn around and move up to higher ground to
escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when
water begins rising.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur
in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges...
dips... or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing
stream... even a small one...on foot or in a vehicle.
